Brutal Retro FPS Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom Launches on Mobile

Warhammer 40000: Boltgun Boom has landed on mobile. So, now you can experience the whole grimdark Space Marine shooting title from Nitro Games. It’s a mobile adaptation of the Warhammer 40000: Boltgun series, which was originally developed by Auroch Digital for PC and console platforms.

The mobile version features different chapters from the Boltgun series. It has an old-school ’90s shooter style where the general strategy is basically move fast, shoot faster and worry about everything else later.

The title has been redesigned for mobile devices with touch controls. It also supports external control options like mouse and keyboard in certain setups. The game focuses on fast-paced pick-up-and-play sessions, with offline play and zero ads or energy bars.

You play as Malum Caedo, a Sternguard Veteran Space Marine, stepping into his power armour and going after the forces of Chaos. There are cultists, traitors, daemons, huge hordes of enemies and towering war machines to deal with.

Obviously, the boltgun is here, but it isn’t the only weapon you’ll have access to. Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom includes an arsenal of iconic Warhammer 40,000 weapons. The combat involves explosive gunplay, constant movement and the brutal retro FPS feel.

They are spread across multiple worlds full of enemies, secrets and different environments. If you’ve been wanting to run around as a Space Marine and turn Chaos cultists and daemons into pixelated explosions from your phone, now’s your chance.

The game is available on the Google Play Store. You can play the first 3 levels for free, and unlocking the full game happens through a one-time in-app purchase. The game supports controllers, although it might not yet be compatible with some devices, including the AYN Thor, AYN Odin-3 and Retroid Pocket 6.
