Triomatica Games Drops Chapter 1 of I Want to Play the Villain! on Mobile

Triomatica Games, the award-winning studio behind Boxville, revealed its upcoming game, I Want to Play the Villain! in August. And now, the studio has already released Villain! for mobile. It’s Chapter 1 of the full game and serves as a demo for the game.

Villain! is a free standalone mobile game containing all 18 unique challenges from Chapter 1 of I Want to Play the Villain!. The full game is a theatre-themed logic puzzle that will release across all platforms in early 2027.

The game is about putting together the perfect theatre performance. Every actor on stage is carrying around their own set of ambitions, wishes, fears, preferences, personality traits, and favourite roles. You have to figure out what everyone wants and rearrange the cast, switch costumes, pair actors with the right partners, and change the story.

Making the show work while also managing a cast of people who all have opinions about everything isn’t easy. Sometimes that includes giving someone their dream role. Other times, it means keeping them as far away as possible from something they fear.

That modular structure means every performance can turn out differently. Instead of there being only one fixed version of the show, changing the cast and story can lead to different outcomes.
