Hypnospace Outlaw Is a 1999 Internet Simulator Where You Can Access People’s Dreams

No More Robots has dropped their popular title Hypnospace Outlaw on mobile. Developed by Tendershoot, the game came out in 2019 for PC and later made its way to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2020.

Hypnospace Outlaw is an internet sim

You’re browsing a fake version of the internet from an alternate 1999, and this internet is called Hypnospace. People access it while they’re asleep using a Hypnospace Headband running the HypnOS operating system.

You play as a Hypnospace Enforcer, a volunteer internet moderator working for Merchantsoft, the fictional company behind Hypnospace. You’re hunting down copyright infringement, cyberbullying, illegal content, viruses, and other stuff that breaks Hypnospace’s rules.

Reports and rewards get sent straight to your inbox by the Hypnospace Patrol Department. You piece together clues by exploring websites, reading pages, searching around, and paying attention to little details people leave behind online. The websites are ugly, bizarre, and full of personality.

Hypnospace Outlaw is full of constant digital hazards. You’ll be dodging pop-ups, adware, toolbars, hackers, viruses, and emails that shouldn’t be trusted. At the same time, there are plenty of fun distractions, too. You can grab GIFs, download MIDI files, customise your HypnOS desktop with wallpapers, themes, skins, screensavers, virtual pets, and helper bots.

While you’re solving cases, you’ll earn HypnoCoins by reporting and closing investigations. You can spend them on downloadable programs, cosmetic desktop goodies, virtual pets, wallpapers, and themes.

Hypnospace Outlaw is now available on the Google Play Store. It’s free to download, with a single $4.99 in-app purchase to unlock the full game. The Android version has been optimised for mobile with full touch controls and a revamped user interface.
