Wilds by Night Zookeeper Is an Upcoming Multiplayer Character Creation and Collection Game

Night Zookeeper is a BAFTA-nominated creative learning company. Over the last 15 years, they’ve created a storytelling universe that helps children fall in love with reading, writing and drawing. Now, their upcoming project is called Wilds by Night Zookeeper.

Wilds by Night Zookeeper is all about creature creation, customisation, collecting, and experimenting with different ability loadouts. Basically, it lets players express themselves however they want.

You draw your own creatures, and Wilds by Night Zookeeper turns them into playable 3D characters. You simply call these creatures, well, Wilds. While I feel like they could have given a better name to the critters, I don’t have any complaints about the process.

You can also collect the Wilds created by other players, and vice versa. So, your collection can be full of funny, bizarre, powerful, and completely original creatures. Also, community ideas might even end up inspiring future creatures, items, attacks, outfits, locations, and completely new game features.

Wilds takes place in the magical Night Zookeeper universe

You help rebuild it by creating and collecting Wilds, upgrading their abilities, and building and customising your own spaces. You also take on all kinds of strange challenges and fight against some grey shadow creatures called the Voids that are trying to erase creativity from the Night Zoo.

Wilds mixes competitive, cooperative, and adventure-based gameplay together. One match might have you fighting for a win in a frantic game of Light Ball, while the next has you running through the woods trying to escape Stifle the Gorilla.

And since it’s made by the Night Zookeeper team, they’ve prioritised safety over entertainment. The game won’t include live chat, so that the experience is safe for children and adults alike. Wilds by Night Zookeeper is releasing on mobile and PC later this year.
