Social Sandbox Game Pixel Worlds: MMO Sandbox Returns to Mobile!

Pixel Worlds: MMO Sandbox just got a reboot. Social First, the new publisher, has made a bunch of changes to the game and relaunched it on mobile. The game first launched in January 2017 on mobile.

The original developer, Kukouri Mobile Entertainment, shut down the servers in December 2024, which left the game in limbo for a while. Social First stepped in, picked up the intellectual property, and now they’re back in the game with the game.

Actually, a lot of the people at Social First aren’t new to the game. Several of them worked on Pixel Worlds: MMO Sandbox back when it was still under Kukouri. So, they already know where things went wrong and what players cared about.

Let’s look at the new Pixel Worlds: MMO Sandbox

It brings a refined progression system, a more controlled and fair in-game economy, and an emphasis on sustainable live operations. The team is specifically calling out things like keeping the economy stable, stopping exploits, and improving moderation systems.

Coming to the game, it’s a free-to-play online sandbox MMO where you build, trade, explore, and create the experience together. It’s all about player interaction and creativity. You can create your own worlds, including parkour maps, adventure setups, farms, or just social spaces where people hang out.

Customisation offers a wide range of items to tweak your character’s look. You can craft, trade, and collect different gear, outfits, and accessories. There’s also stuff like exploring dungeons, fighting enemies, and collecting rewards while progressing your character.

Farming lets you crossbreed and grow almost anything. You can go from basic blocks and furniture to tools, weapons, and even clothes. There are weekly fishing tournaments, and you can also sell fish for gems or use them to craft better fishing gear.
