Award-Winning Visual Novel and Roger Is Coming to Android Soon!

and Roger is an award-winning point-and-click slice-of-life visual novel that’s coming to Android. It was first released for PC in July 2025. It’s developed by Japanese solo creator Yona, working under TearyHand Studio, and published by Kodansha.

The visual novel and Roger is also already available on Nintendo Switch. Now, alongside Android, the game is planned for Nintendo Switch 2 and iOS. It will release on all three platforms on June 17th, 2026. The Play Store page is not live yet, but you can check it out on the official website.

The story begins with a simple disruption

A young girl wakes up expecting an ordinary day, only to find her father missing and a stranger occupying the couch. The man behaves as though he belongs there, speaking in ways that make little sense to her and repeatedly urging her to take her medicine.

Through a sequence of interactive events, you get put directly inside her perspective as she navigates confusion, fear and curiosity. What initially feels like a surreal intrusion gradually shifts into a path that blends disorientation with moments of tenderness.

The protagonist, Sofia, is portrayed across multiple stages of life, appearing as a young girl, an adult and an older woman. Early scenes follow her attempt to escape the stranger by running into the street and toward a bakery.

Later sequences shift into a flashback where she meets a man named Roger at that same bakery. Their relationship develops into marriage, but the tone darkens as Sofia struggles with basic tasks and becomes distressed by her own reflection.

The game has three chapters, where you progress using point-and-click controls. You just carry out everyday actions, such as washing hands or brushing teeth. Later segments introduce variations, including tracing patterns or solving light puzzle sequences.

The mechanics in the visual novel are intentionally minimal, mirroring Sofia’s state of mind and her dementia in and Roger. The artwork also adopts a minimalist approach with simple lines and expressions to convey character and tone. Take a look at it below.
