16 Apr GameNews How To Fast Travel In Windrose And Get More Fast Travel Bells April 16, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment There’s no getting around it, Windrose’s map is massive. Even after getting your first ship and doing 20 knots on the open seas, it still takes several minutes to reach most main story destinations. It’s even worse when you have a fetch quest, as you might have to go somewhere and then head back to another location that requires valuable time to sail to. Luckily, Windrose does offer a fast travel system, allowing you to immediately traverse between two places. However, the fast travel mechanic is limited and slightly confusing in Windrose, so allow us to break down what you need to do to make it work. How fast travel works in Windrose Within the first hour of Windrose, you’ll be introduced to the fast travel system. If you search the shipwreck salvage on the beach where you washed up after the opening sequence, you’ll find a Fast Travel Bell. This is the key item in constructing a Fast Travel Point, which is where you need to be to fast travel around the map. Using the Fast Travel Bell, you can build the Fast Travel Point (you’ll need 20 wood as well) after entering build mode in Windrose. Fast Travel Points can only be placed near coastlines, and if you try to build one away from the coast, you’ll see an error message appear on your screen. Naturally, your first Fast Travel Point should be built near your base, as you’ll often want to quickly return there. However, if you try to use the station with just one of them set up, you’ll find that you can’t fast travel anywhere. In Windrose, you can primarily fast travel between constructed Fast Travel Points. Although, you can also fast travel to a point when steering your boat. If you’re steering your boat, open the map, and you’ll see that you can fast travel to any currently built Fast Travel Point on the map. For the most part, though, you need to build multiple Fast Travel Points in different locations to maximize the fast travel system. You can have a maximum of 10 Fast Travel Points built at a time, which allows you to cover a good deal of the map in Windrose. The game also gives you some free fast travel points on the map, which are usually located near story locations. If you want to build your own points, however, this means you’ll need to bring Fast Travel Bells and extra wood everywhere you want to build a Fast Travel Point. How to get Fast Travel Bells The first Fast Travel Bell you get in Windrose is free, but the rest need to be crafted. Fortunately, you can craft Fast Travel Bells at a Workbench, and they require the following resources: 10 Copper Ingots 3 Rope As you need Copper Ingots, the recipe for Fast Travel Bells won’t unlock at the Workbench until you mine some Copper Ore, which is done through the first tutorial mission. Once you have the ability to make Fast Travel Bells, it’s always wise to keep some on you in case you quickly want to set one up in a faraway location. When you want to build a Fast Travel Point, just press “B” to open building mode, choose the station, and then build it somewhere near the water. Now that you know everything about fast traveling in Windrose, you’ll also want to learn how to get your own gunpowder so you can continue using your guns in combat.
