Viking Rise Celebrates Its Third Anniversary With Music, Rewards, And A Massive IRL Prize

Norse strategy game Viking Rise hit its three year anniversary. In an industry where long-running live service games are increasingly rare, reaching this milestone is no small feat. With over 2 million active monthly users, and 67 million registered players, it’s a fair pat on the back. 

This victory lap is good news for the players, too, as IGG has a bunch of special content to commemorate the date, both in and out of game. 

First, there’s a third anniversary theme song and accompanying music video live on the official YouTube channel. Second, there’s an Anniversary recap video. 

Anniversary Site Events

Next, here’s a rundown of some of the important bits of the new Anniversary site, with a huge prize up for grabs.

Anniversary Wish

Hop on every day until the 21st of April to light up the candles on the Anniversary Cake and make a wish. The more vikings making wishes, the greater the rewards for everyone. 

The devs are in a wish-granting mood, too.

At the end of the event, one lucky participating player will be picked to win the Viking Rise World Championship Spectator Pack. This means a ticket to watch the Viking Rise World Championship in Singapore this September. The ticket to the championship comes with a 5 night stay in a 5-star hotel, and your airfare completely covered.  

Returning Player Event

If you’re a regular player eager to pull your friends back in, the Returning Player event running up to the 21st will let you invite them back… and if they do, you’ll both get a ton of rewards. Returning players also get a shot at the Championship Grand Prize above, too. 

Annual Report 

While Viking Rise reflects on its successes, so can you. Head to the event page to get a look at your stats. Maybe you’ll feel proud of your wins… or maybe you’ll feel motivated to get those numbers up. 

In-Game Event: Norn’s Thread 

Finally, make sure to get in-game to take part in the Norn’s Thread event. There’s lots of rewards up for grabs, including some exclusive cosmetics.
