Alien Morgue Is a Papers, Please-Like, But with Aliens and a Sci-Fi Medical Setting

Alien Morgue is a new sci-fi pathologist simulator on Android. Developed by BurGum from Portugal, the game had a PC release earlier in February this year. According to the devs, it draws inspiration from multiple titles like Black Border, Strange Horticulture, and Through the Darkest of Times, with a pinch of Rick and Morty and X-Files.

Find how, who and why in Alien Morgue

You play the role of an alien pathologist whose job revolves around examining alien bodies, determining causes of death, and handling the remains. You do it according to either official protocols or personal requests connected to the deceased.

The sim focuses on investigation and deduction, letting you observe bodies carefully. Search the database for alien physiology and species information, and dissect bodies to analyse organ conditions or extract organs for different purposes.

You must establish identities in Alien Morgue using features, age, occupation and race physiology. You also need to clean bodies using the Washer and dispose of bodies in accordance with protocols. Catch a glimpse of the morgue here.

And here’s where things get more interesting! During dissections, you may find various objects inside bodies and must decide what to do with them. And there’s a catch, too. You cannot make mistakes at the job because you need to save money to pay for the cryocapsule of your loved one.

There’s more to the story, actually

In order to live long enough to see immortality, people must rent cryocapsules where they can be stored after death. These cryocapsules are provided by a corporation, and only rich people can afford them.

The story begins with the death of the protagonist’s spouse. Unable to cope with the loss, the protagonist takes a job at a morgue owned by the corporation. Employees earn credits that they can spend directly on renting cryocapsules.

Alien Morgue offers multiple endings based on your decisions, with 25 days and 9 endings available overall. From the Google Play Store, you can try the first 7 days of the main game for free.
