Roguelite RPG Made in Abyss: An Irredeemable Journey of Mysteries Opens Pre-Registration on Mobile

Announced in May 2025, the Made in Abyss roguelite RPG has unveiled new details. First of all, we now know more about its gameplay (although we’re still waiting for an official gameplay video). Secondly, the title has opened pre-registration for mobile.

A deck-building roguelite RPG, Made in Abyss: An Irredeemable Journey of Mysteries,c will be free to play. With in-app purchases, the game will launch both the Japanese version and English version on September 23rd, 2026.

The official X account of Made in Abyss: An Irredeemable Journey of Mysteries posted a new promotional visual. It features Riko, Reg and Nanachi preparing to descend once again. You can pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store.

This is the first official mobile title based on the Made in Abyss franchise. Meanwhile, the first title based on the series is Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness. It released in September 2022 for PC, Switch, PS4 and PS5, and is a 3D survival action RPG.

You collect cards and relics and choose branching paths while progressing deeper into the dangerous environment. There are several core systems, including Card Upgrades, Relic Collection, Path Selection and Boss Fights.

The cards feature characters from Made in Abyss, and you level them up to increase their strength as a Cave Raider. Relics found throughout the Abyss can be equipped to grant hidden abilities that help during cave raids.

Path Selection lets you significantly change how each run unfolds through the routes you choose. Meanwhile, Boss Fights take place in the depths where primaeval creatures of the Abyss await.

And that’s all on this upcoming title. To be honest, from the looks of it, the game fails to capture the excitement. But let’s hope it pulls through when it releases, especially since it’s the first official mobile title based on Made in Abyss.
