The story introduces William, a young writer struggling to find the spark for his first literary success. Hoping that distance from everyday distractions might help, he travels to a distant abbey inhabited by monks who have taken a vow of silence. At first, the quiet isolation appears ideal for reflection and creative focus. However, the calm atmosphere begins to shift as William spends more time inside the thick stone walls of the monastery and among its silent residents. The abbey’s silence hides more than routine devotion. As William explores the environment, he begins to uncover hints that a secret lies buried within the monastery. The journey slowly pushes him beyond a simple writing retreat and into the centre of a mystery. Mystery of Silence has visuals with dark, detailed pixel art. Corridors, chambers, and other areas of the monastery are presented with a level of detail that helps you examine the surroundings closely. Take a look at the game below. Try it out!
