27 Feb Mobile Gaming SlimeClimb Is a Terraria-Inspired, 2D Action-Platformer Where You Climb as a Slime February 27, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment After three years of solo development that nearly ended in cancellation, SlimeClimb has officially released on mobile globally. Developed and published by Handitap Studios, the project began in 2023 and is the first title from the studio. SlimeClimb is simple You climb as a slime. You jump and backflip between platforms while collecting coins and power-ups, avoiding spikes and enemies. Eventually, you also face bosses along the ascent. The question the game repeatedly poses is how high can you climb as a slime. The setting is Subterra, a strange underground world inhabited by slimes and other creatures who have never seen the light or the stars above. The ‘protagonist’ is a young climber slime determined to reach the surface and confront an evil presence standing in the way. Along the journey, you encounter The Elder Slime, an ageing climber past their prime but still carrying knowledge essential to surviving the climb. Platforms come in multiple forms, including bouncing, moving, electrocuting, and even exploding variations. Large-scale threats such as spikes, shocking walls, and numerous hostile creatures force you to react quickly. Meanwhile, the creature roster features boxjellys, leadpods, and industrialjellys. You also get more than 100 unique areas in SlimeClimb. There are different modes, too SlimeClimb includes Story Mode, a handcrafted mode featuring boss battles and themed dungeons. Then, there’s the Create-Mode, a fully implemented level editor that lets you build your own levels with nearly every object available in the sandbox. Everything is unlockable through gameplay, with no paywalls or battle passes. Free to play with limited ads, the game avoids microtransactions entirely. You can check it out on the Google Play Store.
