Are you thinking about how long it takes to beat Resident Evil Requiem? Capcom’s latest survival horror game brings back perennial fan favorite Leon Kennedy. Joining him is FBI agent Grace Ashcroft, who’s being targeted by nefarious foes. This leads to a nightmarish journey where the duo have to battle countless infected. Our article has all the info that you need, so read on for more details.

Note: We’ve got a Resident Evil Requiem guides hub to help you fend off the infected and other ghoulish creatures.

How long is Resident Evil Requiem – Campaign length guide

Resident Evil Requiem offers three difficulty modes by default. Your choice here can alter your expected playtime:

  • Casual – Enemies are easier to take out, and you can relax and enjoy the puzzles and exploration. You can save as Leon and Grace as often as you’d like.
  • Standard (Modern) – This is the normal difficulty mode akin to more recent games.
  • Standard (Classic) – This is still the normal difficulty mode. The difference is that autosaves don’t trigger as often, and you need to use Ink Ribbons if you want to do manual saves as Grace.

Grace’s sections of the campaign focus more on the survival horror aspect. You don’t have a lot of ammo, and you tend to rely on knives and stealth. The pace slows down a bit compared to Leon’s action-oriented segments.

Average playthrough estimates

An average playthrough of Resident Evil Requiem on Standard (Modern) or Standard (Classic) can take anywhere between 11 to 14 hours. This assumes that you’re doing a bit of exploration and backtracking to find various items and rewards, too. Also, if you’re playing on Casual mode, then you might finish a lot faster given the lower difficulty.

Rushed playthrough estimates

If you’re simply breezing through the campaign, likely focusing on main objectives while dodging past zombies, then you might finish Resident Evil Requiem in 8 hours or less.

Note: There’s also a challenge called “Speed Demon,” which has a nifty reward if you can clear the campaign and get a certain ending in under 4 hours.

Looking for several collectibles and currencies definitely extends your playtime.

Completionist playthrough estimates

Those who want 100% completion can expect to play for 25 hours or more. There are several facets that extend your playtime:

  • There are lots of collectibles and currencies, such as Mr. Raccoon memoriams and Antique Coins.
  • If you want to obtain all the weapons in the game as Leon, then you need to amass thousands of credits.
  • Several challenges require multiple/separate playthroughs. That said, we have some tips to help you tackle certain objectives simultaneously in our challenges/bonus content guide.
  • A new difficulty option, Insanity Mode, is unlocked after beating the game. You’re going to encounter even tougher enemies.

That does it for our guide on how long it takes to beat Resident Evil Requiem. If you’re about to dive in, you can read our beginner’s guide to help you get started.
