Developed by Orangepixel, Residual puts you in the role of a lone explorer stranded in a forgotten galaxy full of strange planets. The adventure opens with a crash landing on an alien world hiding an ancient secret, putting your focus on endurance and adaptation.

With a mix of exploration, crafting, and survival, the gameplay offers procedurally generated environments that change with each new world you discover. OrangePixel’s Nature Engine generates thousands of planets using a wide range of environment-based rules.

You need to stay alive long enough to uncover what lies beneath the surface. So, you must gather food, build campfires, and assemble science-fiction survival tools such as teleporters and mining devices.

You can also recover and repurpose alien technology across the worlds. The ultimate goal is to repair the downed ship. Along the way, you’ll stumble upon hazards that range from hunger and cosmic storms to hostile plant life and a spreading mysterious ooze.

Accompanying you in your entire journey is PDB, a snarky floating Personal Disaster Bot. It offers practical support and contributes to helping uncover hidden lore and the deeper history of each planet.
