The Switch 2 Version Of Digimon Story: Time Stranger Is $10 Less Than PS5 And Xbox

Digimon Story: Time Stranger is coming to Switch 2 and Switch on July 10, 2026. This follows the monster-collecting RPG’s original launch on PS5, Xbox, and PC last year. Preorders for the physical Switch 2 and Switch versions are available for $60 at Amazon and Best Buy–which is $10 less than the game’s MSRP on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC–and include many of the same preorder bonuses as those previous versions. Here’s a rundown of where to preorder Digimon Story: Time Stranger on Switch 2 and Switch, plus all the bonus content you get for securing an early copy.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger Preorder Bonuses

Preordering Digimon Story: Time Stranger on Switch or Switch 2 gets you a selection of bonus items. These include a new set of cosmetics for your characters, black variants of the Agumon and Gabumon Digimon, and an Adventure Item set. Here’s the full list:

These items are included in all physical and digital preorders of the game on both Switch and Switch 2.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger first launched in October of last year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, earning an 8/10 score from GameSpot’s Jordan Ramée in his review. In it, you’ll embark on an adventure that transcends time and space across both the Human and Digital worlds.

You’ll also engage in turn-based battles with your partner Digimon, building out their stats and customizing your team throughout your entire playthrough.

If you’d like to play the game right now, you can also purchase it for PC and console. You’ll have to pay a little extra, but you won’t have to wait until July to start raising some Digimon. On PC, you can pick up the standard edition from Fanatical for $49 (was $70), and if you want to load up extra digital bonuses, the Ultimate Edition is on sale for $84 (was $120).
