The collaboration has resulted in the launch of a fundraising campaign aimed to help Gamers Outreach supply gaming equipment and experiences to children in hospitals. The campaign is available on Virtus.pro’s page on Tiltify, with the target to raise $20,000 (~£14,860) for Gamers Outreach. On social media, Virtus.pro wrote: “Together with our players, streamers, staff, and global community, we’re launching a fundraising campaign to help Gamers Outreach deliver gaming equipment and experiences to kids facing long hospital stays.” It is not the first time Gamers Outreach has partnered with an esports brand for fundraising campaigns. Back in 2019, the organisation joined hands with tournament organiser ESL to launch the ‘Gaming for Good’ initiative, where ESL donated $10 (£7.98) for each ticket sold for IEM Chicago that year. Virtus.pro has also held fundraising campaigns in the past. Last year, the esports organisation launched a £5,000 (~$6,660) fundraiser for World Wide Fund for Nature and its conservation efforts for polar bears. Esports Supporting Charity Esports is an ever-growing ecosystem with a dedicated community and a global audience, attracting millions of viewers every year across a variety of competitive scenes. As a result, it has become a strong platform for charities to raise funds and spread awareness. 2025 saw FlyQuest work with rival team T1 during Worlds 2025, the crowning event of the League of Legends esports scene. The American esports organisation made donations to two chosen charities, with the donated amount based on its own performance and that of T1 during the championship. Riot Games, the developers behind VALORANT and League of Legends, has also gathered support from esports fans through the Social Impact Fund. Since it was launched in 2019, the global initiative has raised $63m (~£46.8m), impacting over 450 organisation across 28 regions.
