Turn Your Pets into Donuts in Physics-Based Suika Game Merge Donuts’ Furry Friends Contest!

The family-run indie developer Kawaii Creator Design Studio has opened its first fan contest. It’s a fun competition in Merge Donuts called Furry Friends Fan Contest. The event is inviting players across Meta Horizon to submit photos or short videos of their animals.

And that’s just the first step!

Pet owners now have a chance to see their real-life companions reinterpreted as frosted collectibles. Yes, the concept in Merge Donuts Furry Friends Contest is straightforward but personal. Participants can share cats, dogs, birds, bunnies, reptiles, snakes, fish and other pets for consideration.

The game will ultimately select up to 12 real animals and transform them into hand-drawn doughnut characters. They will appear in-game as part of a new collectible pack called Furry Friends. Each chosen pet will serve as the inspiration for an original design created by the Merge Donuts team.

To take part, entrants must post a photo or short video of their real-life pet on Instagram or TikTok and include the pet’s name. You also need to briefly explain why the animal would translate well into a doughnut inside Merge Donuts.

The team will consider only one entry per person and per social handle, and no purchase is necessary to participate or win. The game is accessible through the Meta Horizon App on the Google Play Store and via the official website.

Submissions need to remain public throughout the Contest Period. The Contest Period lasts for two 2 weeks, beginning February 18th and running through March 4th, 2026. Unfortunately, residents of Quebec Canada, Italy and Brazil are not eligible.

Up to 12 winners will receive two rewards. They include a hand-drawn doughnut character of their pet will be added permanently to the Merge Donuts world. The other one is a custom digital artwork celebrating their animal.
