PUBG Global Series reveals first half 2026 participating teams

Krafton has revealed the 24 teams that will compete in the first half of the PUBG Global Series (PGS) 2026 season.

Teams will compete in two circuits, comprising Circuit 1 (PGS 1 to 3) and Circuit 2 (PGS 4 to 6), with the goal of securing points and qualifying for future global events, such as the PUBG Global Championship.

The 24 organisations revealed consist of the previously revealed 12 global partner teams, alongside 12 invited teams from the regional series.

According to the 2026 esports roadmap, PGS Circuit 1 will be held in March, while PGS Circuit 2 will take place in May.

Circuits are divided into series, weekly tournaments where teams strive to build its overall standings.

In the first series, all teams start from zero, and compete through multiple stages to gain points. Points are earned through overall placements, battle-royale wins, and eliminations.

Teams are then seeded in the second series based on the results of the previous week. Once again, teams compete to secure the best results possible to further climb the standings.

Finally, the final series is held on the third week of the circuit. Based on the results of the series, which carries over scores from the previous two weeks, the team with the highest number of points is crowned the Circuit Champion.

Teams also compete for a share of a $500,000 (~£366,950) prize pool. The first two series offer $100,000 (~£73,390) each, while the final series offers $300,000 (~£220,140) in winnings. Naturally, the top-performing teams will earn the largest cut of the prize pool.

The first two circuits are significant in the PUBG esports calendar. The events serve as the earliest indication of the competitive state of the scene, shaping decision-making for players that will represent their region in the PUBG Nations Cup in June, 2026.
