While few details have been revealed, the collaboration is expected to launch soon and will be exclusive to Indonesia. It is unclear what exactly the collaboration will entail. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is an ongoing manga series written by Kanehito Yamada. In 2023, the manga also received an anime television series adaptation, with its second season premiering in January this year. Its story revolves around the adventures of Frieren, an elven mage who previously helped defeat the world’s Demon King as part of Himmel the Hero’s party. Alongside new companions, Frieren now journeys to the resting place of souls to reunite with Himmel. “A new journey has begun, it’s not about the journey but the memories along the way. Today RRQ will be officially collaborating with Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End,” shared RRQ in its social media announcement. “Like Frieren, who keeps moving forward even after a journey’s end, RRQ is ready to go beyond our limits to create a story that will be unforgettable.” Founded in 2013, RRQ began as an esports organisation for Indonesia’s top Dota players. Nowadays, the organisation fields rosters across numerous titles, such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Apex Legends, VALORANT and Tekken 8. Its current partners include mobile wallet ShopeePay, instant noodle brand Pop Mie and gaming hardware brand Asus ROG. Esports Loves Anime Collabs RRQ is by far not the first esports organisation to partner with a manga or anime franchise. For several years, its peers have leveraged popular Japanese media to elevate their products in the eyes of the young esports audience. For instance, last year, Sentinels and G2 Esports collaborated with Haikyuu!! and Solo Leveling, respectively. Other esports and gaming stakeholders, such as peripheral brand Razer, have also released anime collaborations. Source link Facebook Twitter Email Pinterest
