05 Feb Mobile Gaming Auto Chess Inventory Management Roguelike Backpack Battles Lands on Android February 5, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Backpack Battles is a new title on Android. Developed by PlayWithFurcifer and published by IndieArk, it’s an intense backpack-management auto-chess game. As weird as it sounds, the game does have its charm and an offbeat sense of fun. Where victory comes down to how intelligently you use limited space Every fight in Backpack Battles is decided by what you carry and how you organise it. Combat power comes from items stored inside a backpack. And the exact placement of those items matters as much as their rarity or cost. A PvP inventory management auto battler, the game lets you buy, craft, and carefully arrange gear before automated fights play out. Items differ in size, shape, price, and rarity, forcing constant trade-offs as space fills up. Crafting options include brewing potions, forging legendary weapons, and even hatching dragon eggs that can join your setup. There are over 400 different items available at launch. Players are matched against the backpack builds of real opponents. One of the game’s strong elements is its visuals. Catch a glimpse of it right here! Backpack Battles offers several modes Competitive Mode lets you climb the ranks and see how far you can push your build. Casual Mode offers a more relaxed environment. Custom Rules let you tweak elements like starting gold or maximum health without affecting rank. Lobbies are also available, allowing matches with friends or streamers in real time, but with a timer. You can pick one of six classes, and each class branches into five subclasses that further specialise builds. Each class also comes with two class-specific backpacks. If you’ve played Backpack Hero or other management roguelikes, you can check out Backpack Battles on the Google Play Store. It’s available for $9.99 as a one-time purchase and doesn’t include in-app purchases or ads. Also be sure to read our scoop on Subnautica: Below Zero Coming to Mobile, Pre-Registration Now Open.
