Short Creepy Stories Nightmare Next Door Walkthrough

Nightmare Next Door is one of the earlier Short Creepy Stories episodes, and is clearly inspired by the Junji Ito story, The Woman Next Door. Short Creepy Stories Nightmare Next Door Walkthrough

The story starts with you living in a small apartment in an unknown town, trying to get some studying for college done.

Afternoon

• You should spawn in in your bedroom, you want to start studying.
• Head through to the next room where your desk is. Music should start playing. Your upstairs neighbour is being pretty inconsiderate. You need to give him a piece of your mind.
• Open the door on the other side of the room to make your way into the hallway.
• Make your way to the grey door at the end of the hall to access the outside. From there, take a left and climb the stairs to reach the building’s upper floor.
• Head to the far end of the hallway on this upper floor, and knock on the door to talk to Punk.
• Punk says he’s not turning his music down unless anyone else complains. So, you’re going to have to ask the apartment next door to him. Head back along the corridor to the next front door, and knock.
• When you don’t get a response, talk to Punk again, who is now in the corridor.
• Soon, the strange neighbour will walk out of her front door, and another neighbour in blue clothes will come to investigate, talk to the blue clothes woman for some more info on the strange neighbour.
• After you’ve talked, head back to your own apartment.
• When you get there, you’ll find the place in chaos, with belongings all over the floor and… maybe you’re not alone in here now.
• It seems like the intruder has fled, and you’re apparently not that worried, so head over to your desk to get studying.

Evening

• When you finish studying, you’re thirsty and want to grab a soda. – When you turn, you might notice you’re being watched… that’s unsettling.
• Head back into the hallway and make your way back to the grey door to go outside. Go to the vending machine to the left of the door and interact with it to insert a coin.
• As the light flicks on, you should see Punk. He looks a bit shaken up. Talk to Punk for a while. You might have one of the strange neighbours make their presence known briefly.
• Once you’re done talking, head back to your place. As you get in, you’ll hear some strange sounds from upstairs. Looks like it’s back out again.
• Head back into the hallway, go outside, and make your way to the upper floor again.
• You should see the woman in blue clothes looking out of her place. There’s also someone looking into the hallway… from a window way too far up.
• Go to Punk’s door and knock.
• When there’s no answer, open Punk’s door.
• The room is empty.
• Once you’ve tapped through the dialogue, a poster should fall off the wall, revealing a hole.
• Look into the hole.
• Oh. Oh no.
• Head to the window. Looks like you’re in trouble.

From here, there are two possible endings.

Bad Ending

• Let the Neighbour catch you and lose all of your HP.
• This will transition you directly to the Bad Ending.

Good Ending

• When The Neighbour comes after you, hit shift to run and skirt around her. Make for the door.
• Run down the hallway outside and to the stairs.
• Go outside (she will still be chasing you.)
• It might not seem like a smart move, but head back in through the hallway door on the bottom floor and make a run for your own apartment.
• When you get inside, close the door behind you.
• This should give you the good ending, congrats! (F in chat for Punk, though.)
