Aurora Gaming has announced Svyatoslav ‘ojrein‘ Korochinsky’s return to its Apex Legends roster, eight months after his initial departure.

However, his arrival comes at a cost, as the Serbian esports organisation has parted ways with ALGS Year 4 champion Jose ‘Uxako‘ Llosa to make room in the team.

The news has invited a mix of emotions from the community. On one hand, the organisation has welcomed back a player whose history with the brand dates back to the ALGS Year 3 Championship in 2023. However, the decision to let Uxako go has been criticised by some fans online.

Uxako’s exit is also a devastating blow for fellow Year 4 champion Filipe ‘Hiarka‘ Morgado, who remains on Aurora Gaming’s roster. The two players have been an inseparable duo since late 2020, starting under BehindYou in the Legion Royale, before representing organisations such as GoNext Esports, Natus Vincere (NAVI), and most recently, Aurora Gaming.

As of writing, Aurora Gaming’s active roster heading into ALGS Year 6 includes ojrein, Hiarka and Anton ‘Slab‘ Eklundh ahead of.

Aurora Gaming in ALGS Year 5

2025 was a hectic year for Aurora Gaming. After placing 11th at the ALGS Year 4 Championship, the organisation announced a break from Apex Legends back in June.

In November, NAVI announced it was parting ways with its Apex Legends roster after a mutual agreement was reached not to renew the partnership.

Just a month later, Aurora Gaming seized the opportunity to sign that very same roster, featuring two of the ALGS Year 4 Championship winners, and did so just a few weeks away from the Year 5 Championship.

Following several days of intense matches in Sapporo, Japan, the Serbian side placed 24th overall at the ALGS Year 5 Championship, overshadowed by fan favourites such as Team Falcons and orgless underdogs like Oblivion.
