29 Jan Mobile Gaming Action RPG Tavern Tale Is Now Out, Blending 3D Fantasy with a Dark Roguelike Adventure January 29, 2026 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Tavern Tale is an indie action RPG that pairs cute 3D fantasy visuals with intense, dark roguelike adventure. It’s brought to mobile by ChillyRoom, the makers of Soul Knight, Soul Knight Prequel, and Otherworld Legends. Right at launch, Tavern Tale brings a crossover for you! The launch crossover features The Red Hood from Night of Full Moon. It’s a deck-building game by Giant Games and is based on the tale of Little Red Riding Hood. It follows Red as she battles monsters using cards in order to save her beloved grandma. So, The Red Hood Visits the Tavern is the title of the crossover event. Apart from access to The Red Hood, you also get more than 30 heroes and over 200 spells, with the adventure beginning under the full moon. Meanwhile, a limited-time offer runs until February 25th, where you can get Knight and The Red Hood by just logging in and completing quests. Launch rewards also include the Fortune Hat and exclusive StarCookies through events. Catch a glimpse of Red in Tavern Tale below. What’s the gameplay like? The world has been sealed into a mysterious cube by an evil witch, leaving her mobs free to roam almost everywhere. Safety is scarce inside this cube, with the exception of a small tavern tucked away in a hidden corner. The tavern is built by the dwarf Hank and his friends. It’s the only refuge left, and the journey begins the moment the tavern door swings open. Inside, dungeon routes and forest paths shift from run to run. The roguelike runs have 8 magic paths and more than 200 spells. You assemble parties from a roster of more than 30 heroes. Among them are Snow, a gentle-hearted girl, Kelly, a mage driven by a love of treasure, and Master Otto, a tai-chi otter. Systems like collecting StarCookies and slotting Starstones allow characters to grow stronger. Tavern Tale is free to play and available on the Google Play Store.
