Eat-’Em-Up Series Tasty Planet Gets Its Last Chapter on Android Tasty Planet: Final Bite

Dingo Games has released Tasty Planet: Final Bite, the latest and final entry in the Tasty Planet series. The first entry in the series was released in 2006, so it’s been exactly 20 years, and now, it’s coming to an end. The series spans six main titles, including the latest.

What’s Tasty Planet: Final Bite about?

Staying true to the franchise’s familiar eat-’em-up formula, the game centres on growing ever larger by consuming anything smaller. It starts with everyday objects like paperclips and pencils before escalating to badgers, bears, entire cities, and eventually far more apocalyptic outcomes.

Tasty Planet: Final Bite includes six end-of-the-world scenarios, 150 levels, and 150 stages of steady growth and destruction. It also supports local couch co-op, with a local co-op mode available on tablets so players can eat the world together.

Across the game, you take control of six playable creatures, each in its own themed world and storyline. All of them lead toward a clay-animated final chapter that serves as a unique conclusion. For instance, one scenario revolves around the Paperclip Maximizer. It’s a machine built by an office supply company to make paperclips that spirals out of control after a tiny programming mistake.

Another scenario revisits a mythic past in The Fall of Atlantis. Once peaceful and fair, the civilisation of Atlantis grows prideful and greedy, drawing the anger of the gods. You step into the role of Cetus, one of the gods’ pets, sent to humble the Atlanteans. You consume scallops, flying fish, catfish, centaurs, griffins, submarines, warships, and finally the ancient city itself.

Next is the House Hippo, which imagines a tiny, mythical Canadian household creature that accidentally eats maple syrup. Meanwhile, in Teeny Tiny UFO, aliens researching Earth attempt to quietly deploy an inconspicuous UFO to collect samples of life.

Fantasy follows in Hungry Dragon, which begins when a dragon egg is mistaken for an ordinary quail egg. Its hunger later grows out of control. The final playable creature appears in Clay Goo, set in an alternate universe made entirely of clay.
