It’s HERE. Arknights Endfield is away on several platforms and it’s been a race for us at DG as to who would finish downloading first. As the winner, I have taken the responsibility to bring the important info on the Arknights Endfield system requirements, and maybe help some of you poor souls who’re struggling to even get off the ground.

Screenshot from Arknights Endfield, showing the player character, Endmin, a young woman with dark hair in a long grey coat, approaching the firm boss, Ereignis. Ereignis resembles a giant humanoid made of brass, with a misty voice for a face, a huge glowing blue crack runs up its chest, with a sword sticking out of it.

I’m Having Issues With Arknights Endfield, Any Tips?

We’ve seen quite a few people struggling to get the game running, so here are a few suggestions for the reasons for your issues, and a few other suggestions on troubleshooting them.

RAM

Endfield is a really hefty game resource-wise. Specs from the developers have asked from 16GB for PC, though mobile users thankfully can get away with the more heavily-optimized mobile build. That said, the optimization is extremely good, so if you’re experiencing a lot of lag you can reduce the graphics settings way down and still get extremely pretty-visuals while reducing the overall load.

Launcher

There are few launcher issues that might lock up the game installation. We used Google Play and had one error with the download process, but retrying sorted it quickly. For PC users we’d recommend if you’re having issues with Epic Games or Google Play to go and get the game’s own Window’s Launcher from the main site. (You need to hit the button that says ‘Windows’ in the bottom right corner of the first screen.) (Also, site plays music. You have been warned.)

DX11

If you can’t get it to launch, of you’re having major issues, the devs have recommended that you try relaunching using Direct X 11. There should be a prompt to do that on the PC launcher, just under the launch button. Tick the box and try launching the game again.

Patches

Sometimes, it’s actually them and not you. It’s the first day of launch and the game does have a few bugs. So you might just have to wait a couple of days for some patches and hotfixes. It’s a pain, but at least only a temporary one. Maybe find another game to play for now.
