Played Bendy and the Ink Machine? Developer Joey Drew Studios has dropped its sequel Bendy and the Dark Revival. To be exact, it’s an indirect sequel that launched in November 2022 on Steam for PC, followed by console releases.

Bendy and the Dark Revival puts you back inside a creepy animation studio. A first-person survival horror game, it involves exploration, evasion, combat, and uncovering buried truths.

Set within the ink-soaked halls of Joey Drew Studios, you have to discover the truth and escape the studio. But above all, fear the Ink Demon while trying to survive a world that feels unstable at every turn.

You play as Audrey, an animator with mysterious abilities. The story begins on June 18th, 1973, with Audrey working late into the night at Archgate Pictures. She’s redrawing old frames from Joey Drew’s Bendy cartoons during an exhausting overtime shift.

A simple break to get coffee turns into a nightmare when she encounters Wilson, the janitor. From there, Audrey is pulled into a twisted loop where Wilson attempts to solidify himself as the new ruler.

He claims to have vanquished the Ink Demon 211 days before. But Audrey soon finds herself transformed into an inky form within the world of the ink machine. She’s forced to survive and navigate a studio that has completely gone mad.

The game blends sneaking, fighting, and puzzle solving. Ink-tainted enemies roam the halls, and danger can appear from any corner. You collect powers of the ink, earn new abilities, and upgrade weapons to overcome obstacles and confront unspeakable monsters.

The studio is populated by a twisted rogue’s gallery of re-animated abominations that stalk corridors and attack anything in their path. Among them are threats like the dreaded Butcher Gang, the tormented Lost Ones, and the vile Searchers.
