26 Dec Mobile Gaming Do Grow A Garden Pets Work Offline? December 26, 2025 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment We’re trying to tackle as many burning questions as we can about Grow A Garden, and today we’re dealing with one we’ve seen a lot. Do Grow A Garden pets work offline? Let’s explain. You can play the game right now on Roblox. If you want to check in on what pets can do, maybe take a look at our guide on Grow A Garden pet abilities. Do Grow A Garden Pets Work Offline? Do Pets Work Offline? Generally, pets do not work offline. Their effects are only active when you’re in the garden, unless their ability confers a passive bonus, like making fruits grow larger. Fruits will continue to grow offline, so you will get bigger crops, even if the active effect isn’t working. This won’t count for animals like cats, who have to actively lie down in a certain radius to grow the fruit. Basically pets can’t ‘do’ anything while you’re offline, so only the passive effects count. What Can You Do To Keep The Effects? If you want to keep benefiting from the pet’s abilities but you’re not interested in actively playing, there is a simple enough solution. Just be AFK and do something else. Make sure to nudge your game from time to time to stop the game from booting you out. Many pets like the Mole will continue to add money and tools to your inventory, while others like the Moon Cat will keep buffing your crops. You might also pick up some of the valuable weather event buffs. Do keep in mind that seed-digging pets may deposit seeds on the floor, and these will despawn in 30 seconds if not picked up. They will creep towards you after they appear, but they might not reach you before despawning, so we can’t recommend going AFK if it’s seeds you’re after.
