The Dances With Wolves challenge is pretty straightforward, if not necessarily an easy challenge. You need to tame twenty wolves in the space of one playthrough.

How To Complete Dances With Wolves

The one problem with Dances With Wolves is that it can be a bit dependent on RNG. You need to have enough wolves around in order to tame them, and ideally they need to spawn in areas where you don’t have a lot of other enemies to deal with at the same time, attacking other enemies could potentially damage the wolves.

With that in mind, though, let’s cover a few tips for the challenge.

• Use the Packmaster class.
  • The new Packmaster class can tame wolves without having to feed them, making the challenge a lot easier! Keep in mind though, the three wolves the Packmaster spawns with do not count toward the 20 total.
• Watch out for werewolves!
  • Wolf packs may spawn with a werewolf in their midst. Werewolves are immune to the Packmaster’s authority, and they’re a very dangerous enemy. Try to bring a gun and plenty of ammo along when you go to tame wolf packs in case there’s a werewolf nearby.
• Don’t worry if some of your wolves die.
  • Tamed wolves are pretty aggressive at attacking enemies, which means they often run off and die. While we are always sad to lose a good boy, it doesn’t take anything off your challenge score, as long as the wolf was tamed first, you don’t need to keep them all alive until the end.
