How to Wish For a Rod in Fisch – Which Rods Can You Get?

Merry Christmas! Or Fischmas, should I say. During this event, you can select a rod you want for the chance to get it as a present. We’ll explain how to wish for a rod in Fisch, and which rods are available to ask for.

How to Wish For a Rod in Fisch

If you head into Fisch, you will find a button that says ‘Santa’s Letter’ on the right-hand side of your screen. There is a countdown on the button that shows how long is left until you can use this letter, so keep an eye on it!

After you click it, you will see Santa in the background, as well as a letter that says:

“Dear Santa, for Fischmas I want [rod name]. Sincerely, [sign].”

In the box where you insert a rod name, you can type a rod, but nothing happens. At the bottom, it says, “You can only send a letter from December 24-26.” So right now, you do have the option to interact with the letter, but you can’t actually send it yet.

What Else Do We Know?

A video is also surfacing where you can hear one of the developers explaining how this system will work. They say:

“We wanted to make it so you could give Santa a letter, and you can get one of any rod in that game that is not a dev rod.”

A screenshot from a recent Admin Abuse event is also spreading. In this, Nate, one of the developers, shared a server-wide message saying:

“For Fischmas, you’re ALL going to get ONE rod of YOUR CHOICE (excluding some) ON CHRISTMAS DAY!”

Right now, all we know is that you will be able to request one rod that is, or used to be available, and it isn’t a developer rod.

What Rods Will Be Available?

You will only be able to wish for rods that were or are currently obtainable in the game. Therefore, you cannot ask for any developer, admin, or content creator rods. 

At the moment, we don’t know if there is a level requirement you must reach to wish for a rod. Similarly, there are many rods that require you to be a certain level to use the rod. So, even if you wish for one and obtain it, you likely won’t be able to use it.
