As a result, the company will provide the platform with data to power its League of Legends vertical with a range of data. According to a release, the vertical will provide pre-match and in-play data to enable Apollo to use statistics from tournaments. The yet-to-launch platform will provide users with esports coverage and use the statistics tp power a fantasy vertical where users can compete against others for a chance to win cash prizes. Apollo is a social media platform enabling esports fans to interact with each other and gain access to data. The platform is expected to cover a variety of esports titles. Users will have the ability to view live data across a range of top tournaments. Alongside providing esports data to companies and organisations, Abios also provides odds to several bookmakers to increase the amount of in-play content available for consumers. In February, the provider partnered with Betinvest to gain access to virtual football match data. In addition to League of Legends, Abios also has access to Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 data after extending its existing deal with esports data company Bayes Esports in July. Anton Janér, Co-founder and Managing Director of Abios, spoke on the deal: “Our mission is to facilitate the growth of esports by providing the underlying infrastructure and building blocks to make great products come to life. “By powering Apollo’s esports capabilities, we’re thrilled to support a space for the gaming community where League of Legends fans can easily access exciting insights on matches, teams, players, and events.” Jonno Nicholson Jonno is a Freelance News Writer for Esports Insider and has been part of the ESI team since 2019!
