Indian esports and gaming talent management agency 8Bit Creatives has announced a partnership with iQOO, a smartphone brand based in China.

The naming rights deal will affect three teams represented by 8Bit — 8Bit Esports, Reckoning Esports and Revenant Xspark. Further details about the deal were not disclosed.

The two companies did share that this collaboration is the ‘largest naming rights deal in Indian gaming history’, although exact figures were not shared.

8Bit Creatives is a talent management agency from India known for representing a large number of players, creators and influencers in the country. In the esports space, the company represents several notable esports teams and has its own esports organisation called 8bit Esports.

IQOO, shortened for I Quest On and On, is a Chinese smartphone brand owned by Vevo. The new deal will see iQOO expand its presence in the Indian market. In 2023, the company partnered with Team iQOO Soul, another esports brand represented by 8Bit Creatives.

Animesh Agarwal, Founder and CEO of 8Bit Creatives, commented on the deal: “We are incredibly grateful to iQOO for placing their trust in us to represent three of their five teams, and we are happy to support their gaming & esports initiatives.

“This is a moment of great pride for Indian gaming, and we are excited to see iQOO’s continued contribution to growing the esports landscape in India.”

8Bit Creatives also noted that it has secured ‘three out of five naming rights deals’ for its esports brands and that the move has ‘cemented its leadership in the esports ecosystem.’
