As a result of the partnership, AOC will provide 40 high-end gaming monitors to Esports Kenya Federation, alongside support for esports initiatives, and more. Esports Kenya Federation recently opened Kenya’s first esports training centre at Mount Kenya University. The collaboration with gaming monitor brand AOC will result in the facility to be renamed as ‘AOC Gaming HUB’. The training centre aims to equip students and youth in the community with skills to establish a career in esports. Also, Esports Kenya Federation’s partnership with AOC intends to support the organisation’s teams’ preparations for the Olympic Esports Games in 2025. This year, the International Olympic Committee announced a partnership with the National Olympic Committee of Saudi Arabia. The partnership will result in the Olympic Esports Games to be hosted in Saudi Arabia for the next 12 years, including its inaugural edition. The announcement was made at Kenya’s Ministry of Sports Headquarters in the presence of notable leaders in the sports and gaming sector, including the likes of the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee, the state department of sports, and Kenyan gaming personalities Brian Diang’a, Elias ‘Stylz’ Onchari, Purity Muiruri, and AOC’s Pankaj Budhiraja. Pankaj Budhiraja, Regional Manager (Middle East and Africa) at AOC and Philips Monitors commented on the partnership: “We are thrilled to partner with the Esports Kenya Federation, in their mission to nurture and expand the esports ecosystem in the region.
