Feature image for our Special Anime Defense tier list. It shows a roll of a banner pull of the unit Soboto, a figure in a fox mask.

Eager to find out who will tear up the battlefield, and who is all bark and no bite? That’s what we’re here to tell you. Our Special Anime Defense tier list runs over the highs and the lows of the game’s fighting units, and ranks them all from the best to the worst to help you decide if you want to take another punt on the latest gacha banner.

Special Anime Defense is out now, and you can play it for free on Roblox. We’ve also got an Anime Defenders update 5 tier list if you’re looking for some more assistance with your strategies.

Special Anime Defense Tier List

Tier lists run from the best units to the worst. The top-quality entries sit in S Tier, and the ones you’ll be least invested in adding right down at the bottom in D Tier.

S Tier

These are the very best units in the game. Try and snag one whenever they’re in the banner, you won’t regret giving them a space on your team.

  • Gen (????)
  • Hosoko
  • Nobora
  • Shonks

A Tier

Very good units that help you clear content easily. Worth getting and worth checking the banner for.

  • Ariva
  • Bolma
  • Demon Lord
  • Gen (Adult)
  • Thick-Browed
  • Touci

B Tier

These are okay for filling gaps in your ranks, though they don’t stand out that much. You’ll probably replace them down the line unless you need them for something in particular.

  • Gen
  • Soboto
  • Sasuke (Curse Mark)

C Tier

These are okay to get started and help you through some of the initial stages, but they’re really nothing special. Don’t put too much time into leveling them, you’ll find something better soon!

  • Saske (Kid)
  • Niruto (Kid)
  • Goko

D Tier

Pointless units. Don’t use these at all.

  • There are no D-Tier units right now. We’re not exactly disappointed.
