Roguelike Card Adventure Phantom Rose 2 Sapphire Drops On Android

Ever played Phantom Rose Scarlet, the roguelike card adventure game? Well, it’s sequel is here. It’s called Phantom Rose 2 Sapphire. If you’ve played the prequel, you have an idea about the game. And if you haven’t played it yet, let me give you a lowdown on the new one.

Created by Studio Maka, Phantom Rose Sapphire had its original release on Steam back in October 2023. Just like Scarlet, it’s a mix of roguelike strategy and has a dark, mysterious vibe. Sapphire looks like a solid follow-up to the original with some great new features.

Here’s What Phantom Rose 2 Sapphire Is About

You play as Aria, a young girl battling her way through her beloved school that’s now crawling with horrible creepy creatures. The whole ‘school under siege by evil phantoms’ vibe gives the game a haunting, almost gothic feel.

The game lets you build your deck in a different way. There’s no random card draw mid-battle. Instead, you have to manage your card cooldowns like a pro if you want to take down those phantoms quickly and effectively.

Phantom Rose 2 Sapphire has increasing levels of difficulty. And there’s even an Arcade mode, where you can blitz through bosses for rewards. There’s a Custom mode that lets you create your own challenges.

The most unique feature of the game that’s not a part of Scarlet is its class system. Yes, Phantom Rose 2 Sapphire introduces a new class system with two playable options: Blade and Mage. The Blade class lets you strike with greater freedom. While the Mage class adds an extra layer with its Arcana gauge that controls your available actions.

With over 200 cards to collect and a bunch of powerful items to find, Sapphire is a nice card game. Its mysterious atmosphere and beautiful art make it a good option to try. You get a bunch of nice costumes as well. And as you explore the school, you’ll come across other survivors and events.

If you think it’s a game you’d like to try, then grab it from the Google Play Store. It’s free to play.
