Andrew Strauser, former Vice President of Content at Warner Bros Discovery, has joined UK-based esports organisation Tundra Esports as its new Chief Content Officer.

Strauser will create original content for Tundra’s channels, starting with two content series for the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Saudi Arabia.

Strauser has over 15 years of experience in entertainment production and execution, having worked as a Creative Director for Jennifer Lopez Entertainment as well as media company Studio 71 before joining Twitch as an Executive Producer.

Despite working for Tundra since May, Strauser only announced his first projects for the organisation a week ago: “We’re hitting the ground running with two original series from the Esports World Cup this month! Stay tuned to Tundra’s YouTube and social channels for all the fun!”

In a post on Tundra’s LinkedIn page, Strauser also shared how he joined the company: “I recently relocated to the UK and was referred to Tundra. I met with our owner/co-founder and commercial director. Their enthusiasm for content creation and its relationship to the brand’s growth was infectious; the rest is history!”

Tundra Esports’ Dota 2 roster currently competes in EWC’s Riyadh Masters tournament. Moreover, the organisation was accepted into EWC’s Club Support Program, which provides financial capital to partnered teams ahead of the EWC.

The EWC is a yearly multi-title esports festival held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Its inaugural edition commenced on July 3rd and will continue until August 25th. Due to its ties to the Saudi Arabian government, the event has been criticised by some stakeholders.
