PUBG Mobile is Banned in India

PUBG Mobile has been pulled from the Google Play Store in India, along with a number of other apps published by Chinese companies.

The move follows the removal of Fortnite from the Google Play Store a few weeks ago, though the reasons are more geopolitically dramatic.

According to the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, PUBG Mobile publisher Tencent is “engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order.”

The ban certainly puts the Fortnite rumpus into perspective.

It’s worth sparing a thought for gamers in India, too, who are now missing out on two of the most popular battle royale games on mobile.
