09 Aug Mobile Gaming Android Gaming Headlines and Updates: PUBG Mobile, Project xCloud, Levelhead, and More August 9, 2020 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Welcome to Sunday. This has been a bumper week for updates and events, with new content coming to Levelhead, SpongeBob: Krusty Cook Off, SINoALICE, and more. There’s plenty of good stuff in the pipeline, too, including a new Warhammer game, a dramatically overhauled Diablo Immortal, and a whole new Xbox game streaming service on Android. To read about the latest new Android games and sales, check out the Saturday companion piece to this article. Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower, from developer Perchang Games, will be the next Warhammer title to reach the Google Play Store. Due to arrive on September 3rd, it sees you assembling an army and invading the Silver Tower. You can pre-register right now. Dungeon Dogs is the sequel to Castle Cats. It takes place in the same universe, and sees the dogs trying to rise up against their wicked feline oppressors. From a canine point of view, it’s practically a life sim. PUBG Mobile is taking the next step in silky smooth framerates, leaping up to 90fps. At first this will only apply to OnePlus’s flagship smartphones, but in a month any sufficiently hefty handset will be able to run the upgraded version of the game. Project xCloud, in case you’re not aware, is a new streaming service from Microsoft that will let you play a range of Xbox games on your Android handset for a monthly subscription. It’ll be automatically included in Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions, and the games on the service include Crackdown 3, Halo Wars 2, and many other bangers. Diablo Immortal is coming. We don’t have a release date, but we’ve got a new trailer, showcased at ChinaJoy 2020. Interesting, the trailer contains updated character models that have undergone some fairly radical changes from previous versions. The International Mobile Gaming Awards are among the most reputable and important in the business, and when a game scoops the big prize it’s absolutely worth checking out. This year that honor went to Sky: Children of the Light, with many other games winning in the less categories. Updates The Rick and Morty x Merge Dragons! event is coming to an end this weekend, so you’ve only got a day left to experience the compound thrill of merging stuff and watching an old genius exploit a callow youth. The latest addition to the Mr Krabs’s growing catering empire is Kelp City, a whole new underwater world. The star attraction in Kelp City is Last Chance Coffee, a new coffee shop where SpongeBob can serve hot beverages, pastries, and more. The creative director of SINoALICE is Yoko Taro, the guy behind NieR. That’s why the two franchises are teaming up for a SINoALICE crossover event. The latest update lets you obtain new NieR Replicant characters, including Young Nier, Kaine, and Emil. Plus some other stuff. Levelhead, Butterscotch Shenanigans’s awesome level-creation platformer, has just got another update. This time new stuff includes The Shade, a gimmick that allows you to maintain your momentum while going through portals, and more. It coincides with the 75,000th user-created level.
