Guild Esports launches with David Beckham as co-owner Credit: Guild Esports Guild Esports, a talent development company that counts David Beckham as a co-owner, announced its global launch. Beckham, via DB Ventures, and Blue Star Capital have contributed towards a funding round by Guild Esports that’s targeting £25 million, with the latter investing £480,000 at 6p per share to maintain its 11.7 percent stake. Gucci enters esports with Fnatic-inspired watch Photo credit: Fnatic Italian luxury fashion brand Gucci officially stepped into the world of esports through a collaboration with British organisation Fnatic. Gucci has unveiled a watch inspired by Fnatic’s League of Legends team, which competes in the LEC. The watch, which costs £1,150 and is available exclusively through Gucci’s website, has Fnatic’s logo on the dial at the 6 o’clock marker and features a black & orange dial and bezel. Read the full article here. OG appoints JMR Luna as CEO Photo via: OG European esports organisation OG Esports appointed former Immortals and Evil Geniuses executive JMR Luna as its CEO. Luna will be the connective tissue between OG’s board and the organisation itself, executing the “very clear vision” that Johan “N0tail” Sundstein and Sébastien “Ceb” Debs have for the brand. Complexity launches The Lab developmental program with We Are Nations Credit: Complexity Gaming and We Are Nations Complexity Gaming and We Are Nations came together to create ‘The Lab,’ a dedicated facility to create esports performance gear.
