First League of Legends: Wild Rift Gameplay Footage Revealed, Closed Alpha Coming Soon

League of Legends: Wild Rift, the first mobile spin-off of Riot Games’s hugely popular MOBA League of Legends, is getting a closed alpha test on Android.

In addition, Riot Games has revealed footage of the game in action for the first time in a dev diary video update. You can check it out below.

League of Legends: Wild Rift will be a free-to-play MOBA in which, Riot insists, all heroes will be accessible without paying. Nor will it be possible to pay for playtime or power. It’s not clear at this stage what you will be able to pay for, but presumably your options will be limited to cosmetic items.

Matches will apparently last 15-20 minutes, and the game will include a 3D model viewer. The closed alpha will begin soon, last for two weeks in Brazil and the Phillippines before rolling out to more regions.

You can pre-register here.
