ROKiT Group extends The Race All-Star Series sponsorship


The ROKiT Group has extended its sponsorship of Torque EsportsThe Race All-Star Series through the end of 2020 following an initial six-week trial partnership.

The company’s brands include ROKiT Phones, ABK Beer, Bandero Tequila, and Bogart’s Spirits, all of which were spotlighted during competition in the racing simulation rFactor 2.

Jonathan Kendrick, Co-founder and Chairman of the ROKiT Group, commented in a release: “The Race All-Star Series has kept motorsport in the spotlight during a time when no other racing could take place. By bringing together some of the leading car manufacturers, the top sim racing drivers, and world-famous legends it has created a loyal audience of passionate fans and generated fantastic exposure for the ROKiT Group brands.”

ROKiT will remain as the presenting partner, obtaining naming rights to the event: The Race All-Star Series powered by ROKiT Phones. The current second season will conclude this weekend, with a third season slated to begin on June 6th.

Torque Esports launched The Race All-Star Series to help fill the traditional racing void during the COVID-19 pandemic, and has pulled in real-life drivers such as Sebastian Vettel, Mario Andretti, and Dario Franchitti for competitions. Teams such as Mercedes-AMG Petronas Esports, Aston Martin, and BMW have also been involved thus far.

Through broadcasting deals with ESPN and Eurosport, The Race All-Star Series has reached more than six million viewers, according to a release.

Darren Cox, Co-CEO of Torque Esports parent company Engine Media, added in a release: “Having a brand like the ROKiT Group, which has established a strong links with real-world motorsport through its association with Williams, Venturi, and W Series, committing to a long-term arrangement with the All-Star Series is testament to the growing popularity and power of virtual racing. We are delighted to have them onboard through to 2021 and to work with them on the many exciting developments we have in the pipeline.”

Esports Insider says: The Race All-Star Series has become an oasis amidst the pandemic for racing-starved fans. Looks like the ROKiT Group sees continued potential in the partnership for many months to come.
