Tencent collaborated with NODWIN Gaming in 2019 for both the PMCO Spring Split India and the PMCO Fall Split South Asia. Akshat Rathee, Managing Director and Founder of NODWIN Gaming, spoke on the partnership in a release: “For us at NODWIN Gaming, 2019 was the building block towards redefining esports with PUBG MOBILE. The PMCO’s laid the foundation for a bigger vision. Our association with PUBG MOBILE in 2020 means we got to execute that vision in our style. The introduction of Pro League has made the entire league structure more robust and engaging. The community is excited and so are we. Filled arenas with high decibel chantings incoming!” RELATED: PUBG Mobile to receive huge esports push in 2020NODWIN Gaming took care of the online qualifiers for the PUBG Mobile Club Open 2020 Spring Split for India, Pakistan, and South Asia, and will deliver the PUBG Mobile Pro League South Asia 2020 LAN Finale. Tencent unveiled its plans for PUBG Mobile’s esports initiatives in 2020 back in December, detailing that the scene will be divided into four levels. The circuit will dish out over $5 million (£3,851,059) as prize winnings over the course of the year. Esports Insider says: NODWIN Gaming is the largest esports company in India so it’s not massively surprising that Tencent chose it to conduct tournaments in the region. The pre-existing relationship between the two parties couldn’t have hurt NODWIN Gaming’s chances of assuming such responsibilities, we’re sure.
