25 Feb eSport British Esports Association partners with North America Scholastic Esports Federation February 25, 2020 Posted by GataGames Leave a comment Not-for-profit organisation British Esports Association has entered a partnership with the North America Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF). The organisations have entered a memorandum of understanding that will see them collaborate on new programs, delivering joint tournaments, and running exchange programs across the UK and North America. Image credit: British Esports Association RELATED: British Esports Association adds advisory board members The aim of the partnership is to share different educational approaches to esports in an attempt to set a new standard for the industry at grassroots and scholastic levels. Andy Payne OBE, Chair of Advisory Board at British Esports Association, commented in a release: “We are delighted to partner with NASEF and work on shared learnings around esports in education. Some positive first steps have been taken in this space over the past few years, and by teaming up with another respected organisation we can combine forces, develop new programs faster and work stronger together.” RELATED: British Esports Association backs €30m investment venture Now in its fourth year, the British Esports Assocation works to increase the awareness of, and the education surrounding, esports in the UK, including the launch and development of the British Esports Championship and the inception of its esports & physical sports crossover activity week alongside West Ham United Foundation. Gerald Solomon, Founder of North America Scholastic Esports Federation, also spoke on the agreement: “NASEF is excited to be partnering with British Esports to make a difference in the lives of children and young adults through a scholastic and academic approach to esports. “It is rare when two entities have the same set of values and moral compass. NASEF and British Esports are two such organisations. Working together, we can accomplish so much more for children around the world.” Esports Insider says: With collegiate and high school esports rapidly expanding in the United States, this partnership could assist in the expansion of grassroots esports in the UK thanks to the support of NASEF. Now into the first of its three-year plan, the eyes of the British Esports Association are firmly set on the future of UK esports.
