The alliance sees the team’s Legion Lair Lit by TCP facility certified by KultureCity as sensory inclusive, thanks to employee training and the availability of tools to help guests with sensory sensitivities. We are excited to extend KultureCity’s relationship with the Cavs and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse to the burgeoning world of esports and elevate our awareness and procedures at Legion Lair to serve each of our guests at a higher level.” The Legion Lair Lit by TCP is a gaming and esports centre that hosts public events and also serves as the training facility for the Cavs Legion GC. The facility will have specialised sensory bags available that include noise-canceling headphones, verbal cue cards, weighted lap pads, and fidget tools. Additionally, the Legion Lair will have a quiet room away from the action for guests who want a break in a calmer environment. The Cavaliers first partnered with KultureCity in 2017 to certify the team’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse arena as sensory inclusive. Dr. Julian Maha, Co-founder of KultureCity, added: “To know that you soon will be able to see families attend and compete in an esports event with their loved one that may not have been able to previously attend and participate due to a sensory challenge is truly a heartwarming moment. Our communities are what shape our lives and to know that Cavs Legion is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that everyone, no matter their ability, is included in their community is amazing.” Esports Insider says: This is an important and admirable move from Cavs Legion GC. As esports grows and more and more people want to participate and watch, it’s essential that everyone feels comfortable in the arenas and other environments. Hopefully we see a lot more of this elsewhere. Subscribe to ESI on YouTube Source link Facebook Twitter Google Email Pinterest
