Death Stranding has proven to be one of the most divisive games of the Fall 2019 season. Hideo Kojima Productions and Sony’s first collaboration has some heady concepts at play, and if it clicks with you, it could be one of your favorite games of 2019. $60 is a bit of an ask to try something new, but Black Friday has deal that might make it a little more enticing to try Death Stranding. It’s a PS4 exclusive for now, though a PC version will be coming next year. GameSpot’s review awarded it a 9/10.

“It’s positive without ignoring pain; in fact, it argues in both its story and its gameplay that adversity itself is what makes things worth doing and life worth living,” wrote Kallie Plagge. “It’s a game that requires patience, compassion, and love, and it’s also one we really need right now.”

A GameStop flash deal was offering the limited-edition Death Stranding PS4 Pro, which includes the game, for $300, but it’s sold out. We’ll be keeping an eye out in case the deal, or a similar one, comes back.
