MLG co-founders launch esports infrastructure platform Vindex

MLG co-founders Mike Sepso and Sundance DiGiovanni launched esports infrastructure platform Vindex.

The company, which was also co-founded by Bryan Binder and Jason Garmise, launched with $60 million (£46.6 million) in funding following its Series A round. It also unveiled the acquisition of Next Generation Esports and launch of Adam Apicella’s Esports Engine.

Astralis Group planning to launch IPO in Denmark

Astralis Group has announced its intentions to list an initial product offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market.

The parent company of Astralis, Origen, and Future FC will list its IPO later in 2019, with a prospectus, subscription details, and a specific date for the launch coming at a later date.

Atlanta FaZe to compete in Call of Duty League

Atlanta Esports Ventures and FaZe Clan partnered to form Atlanta FaZe, a franchise in the upcoming Call of Duty League.

Atlanta FaZe is a result of a “deep-seated partnership” between the two parties. The franchise’s colours are black, red, and white, and its logo is a combination of ‘A’ and ‘F.’

Florida Mutineers announced for Call of Duty League

Misfits Gaming’s Florida Mutineers was announced for the Call of Duty League.

The branding is “inspired by the history of pirates off the Florida coast,” and is “relentless, unapologetic, determined.” Its colours are blue and red.

Minnesota RøKKR to compete in Call of Duty League

WISE Ventures Esports and Gary Vaynerchuk’s Minnesota RøKKR was unveiled for the Call of Duty League.

The name is inspired by Norse mythology, the logo is a “mysterious helmeted figure emerging from the shadows,” and its colours are purple and blue.

Seattle Surge franchise revealed for Call of Duty League

Aquilini Investment Group and Enthusiast Gaming’s Seattle Surge was also unveiled for the Call of Duty League.

The logo is the top of a trident, with its colours made up of shades of blue. The brand is a representation of “Pacific Northwest’s natural surroundings.”

Chicago Huntsmen announced for Call of Duty League

NRG Esports’ Chicago Huntsmen was yet another Call of Duty League franchise to be announced.

Chicago Huntsmen’s logo features two hatchets crossed over one another, its primary colour is dark green, and its slogan is “be the hunter, not the hunted.”
