Owned by Misfits Gaming, the franchise’s name, logo, and colours have been announced. Image credit: Florida Mutineers RELATED: Atlanta FaZe to compete in Call of Duty League As explained on the Call of Duty League website, “inspired by the history of pirates off the Florida coast, the Florida Mutineers are relentless, unapologetic, determined and always play their own way in pursuit of victory. Our crew is everything to us, we stand together united, throw shoulders or get thrown overboard.” There’s no official announcement on the players that Florida Mutineers has signed so far. As part of the Misfits Gaming umbrella, it’s the sister franchise to Overwatch League’s Florida Mayhem. RELATED: Toronto Ultra confirmed for Call of Duty League Franchises that have been confirmed at the time of writing include London Royal Ravens, Dallas Empire, Los Angeles Guerrillas, New York Subliners, OpTic Gaming Los Angeles, Toronto Ultra, and Atlanta FaZe. Franchises yet to be revealed are as follows: NRG Esports’ Chicago, WISE Ventures’ Minnesota, c0ntact Gaming’s Paris, and Enthusiast Gaming’s Seattle. Esports Insider says: The branding was leaked ahead of the official announcement quite early on, but it all makes more sense now we have an explanation. The logo certainly stands out from the announced franchises so far but we’ll wait to see how Floridians react to their new team.
