Google Stadia launches in November, launch line-up and pricing details announced


Google has finally announced more details on Stadia, its upcoming games streaming platform. The big news is, it will launch in November 2019 for those who buy the Founder’s Edition and early 2020 for the rest.

The Founders Edition costs $129.99 and includes a Chromecast Ultra, limited edition Night Blue Stadia Controller, and three months of Stadia Pro – the premium subscription – for yourself and a friend.

As for pricing, you can download the Stadia app for free and purchase individual games to play them at 720p or 1080p at 60 frames.

The Pro tier costs $9.99 per month, includes 4K and HDR support, and throws in 5.1 surround sound. You’ll also get free games and exclusive discounts.

The Base tier requires about 10 mbps while the Pro tier requires a bit more at 35 mbps.

Stadia’s launch line-up includes Doom Eternal, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Borderlands 3

As for the launch line-up, here’s the list of announced titles so far:

We’re not sure exactly how much each of the games cost individually, but we’ll let you know as soon as we do. As for the controller, that costs $69.99.
