2020 Hit PC Tycoon Title Merchant of the Skies Opens Pre-Registration on Mobile

Pre-Registration is now open for AstralRide’s Merchant of the Skies. The mobile version of the popular PC airship trading simulator will release on April 14th, 2026. The game is developed by Coldwild Games and first released on PC in 2020.

It’s a world of floating islands

Merchant of the Skies revolves around players captaining a customisable airship and gradually building a trading empire. The gameplay combines base building, economic management, and exploration elements.

You begin with small-scale trading, buying low and selling high, and gathering resources from floating islands. You then slowly expand operations into a larger network of production and trade routes.

There’s a living economy where markets change dynamically across a procedurally generated world. You can also purchase islands, build production chains, and automate trade caravans to generate passive income.

Exploration makes you encounter unusual characters, discover secrets, and command a fleet of unique airships. You’ll stumble upon unusual designs such as a giant turtle or half of a massive fish. Customisation lets you build a mansion and headquarters in the sky using more than 200 unique blocks.

Travel through a steampunk world of floating islands takes place on an overworld map. It’s limited by electricity, which functions as fuel for the airship. You can recharge electricity on certain islands, and if you run out of electricity, you must pay to have the airship towed.

The mobile release is a premium and portable version of the game. It comes with zero ads and no energy timers or pay-to-win mechanics. The game also supports offline play and doesn’t include microtransactions. Running out of money in-game twice results in the game ending.
