Aspyr Drops Tomb Raider I-III Remastered with a New Challenge Mode on Android

Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics have rolled out a surprise drop on Android! It’s the Tomb Raider I-III Remastered version. Starring Lara Croft, it introduces a Challenge Mode with fresh gameplay modifiers, rewards, and achievements to the classic trilogy.

The update arrives as a free patch and coincides with the game launching today on Nintendo Switch 2. It also marks the first time the collection is available on mobile. Before I give you all the details, catch a glimpse of the game here.

Accept the challenge in Tomb Raider I-III Remastered

The new Challenge Mode lets players replay levels with a range of adjustable difficulty settings. You can tweak elements such as health, damage, bonuses, enemies, and other gameplay parameters to create tougher scenarios or unusual runs through familiar stages.

Another addition is a set of 10 new outfits for Lara Croft. These costumes unlock after you complete achievements from the Challenge Mode. They come with gameplay bonuses that influence future runs. The update also expands the achievement list with 15 new achievements.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered brings together the first three Tomb Raider titles along with their expansion content. This includes Tomb Raider with the Unfinished Business expansion, Tomb Raider II with the Golden Mask expansion, and Tomb Raider III with The Lost Artifact expansion.

The collection updates the original games with upgraded graphics and performance improvements. It also introduces quality-of-life features such as camera lock-on and an achievement system. You can switch between the upgraded visuals and the classic polygon look at any time. Mobile versions also offer both Modern and Tank control schemes.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is now available on the Google Play Store for the first time. Android users can try the first level of each game in the collection for free before purchasing the full package.
