Open-World Action RPGs Cat Quest II and Cat Quest III Launch on Mobile

After the immense success of its first instalment, Cat Quest has dropped its next two chapters on mobile. Cat Quest II and Cat Quest III are now out on Android, with pirates, loot and catventures. Developer and publisher The Gentlebros has turned one of them into a seafaring pirate action RPG.

What’s different in Cat Quest II and Cat Quest III?

As in the previous title, you step into the role of a cute animal exploring vibrant fantasy lands. The adventures unfold across locations such as Felingard and the Purribean, where you roam expansive overworlds on foot or by sea.

Cat Quest II continues the series as a 2D open-world action RPG set in a fantasy realm inhabited by both cats and dogs. The story takes place during an ongoing conflict between the cats of Felingard and the advancing dogs of the Lupus Empire.

It’s about two kings who find themselves reluctantly allied as they set out on a journey of paw-some discovery in an attempt to reclaim their thrones. You can control both a cat and a dog while exploring the kingdoms, either alone or together with another player.

The world is populated with magic, curious monsters, and numerous quests. The best part is that Cat Quest II includes local co-op gameplay. New weapon types, such as swords and staves, appear alongside a vast range of spells. Check it out on the Google Play Store.

Meanwhile, Cat Quest III is the third instalment where you play the role of a swashbuckling pirate in the Purribean. A 2.5D open-world action RPG, it’s set in an archipelago filled with islands and roaming Pi-rats. They’re all searching for the Northern Star, a long-lost mythical treasure.

The game includes over 100 quests, dungeons and activities, more than 100 equipment items, and upwards of 50 bosses. Additional systems, such as an Infinity Tower, provide endless replayability, while New Game + mode offers another playthrough option. There’s also a Mew Game challenge mode for a tougher experience. Get it from the Google Play Store.
